The Top Best 5 Evergreen Bollywood tracks sung by The legend S.D.Burman

One of the top legend of Asian Music world is Sachin Dev Burman or Dada Burman, the proud father of another legend Rahul Dev Burman and Father in law of Asha Bhosle. He was not only a music composer but also a classic singer.

Today I am trying to list of The Top Best 5 Evergreen Bollywood tracks sung by The legend S.D.Burman .The songs are given here. You may not be agree with my list but all are the all time hits classic of S.D.Burman.ALL IN ONE HERE

1.Sun mere bandhu re Film-Sujata(1959)
2.Mere sajan hain us paar Film-Bandini(1963)
3.Vahaan kaun hai tera Film-Guide-(1965)
4.Mere duniya hai maa Film-Talash-(1968)
5.Safal hogi tere aradhana Film-Aradhana-(1969)
Tribute to the legend S.D. Burman:-
S.D.Burman,The son of soil, prince of melody was born October 1,1906 as one of the nine children of Prince Komilla of Tripura. His father Nabadwipchandra Dev Burman, was a sitarist and dhrupad singer as well as his first teacher too.Later his training continued with Ustad Badal Khan and Bhishmadev Chattopadhyay, and this classical training gave him a firm rooting for the music that he was to compose later in life.He had explored the forests of Assam and Tripura from where he gained his formidable knowledge and rich repertoire of the folk of that region and Bengal.Later he became a disciple of Ustad Aftabuddin Khan, becoming an ace flautist,He had started his own music school,"Sur Mandir"in Calcutta in the 1930"s.He rose to be a popular singer there. He joined the illustrious K. C. Dey in the Calcutta. He started his musical career in Bengal as a singer of folk and light classical music and also composed music for the radio, which bore prominent traces of East Bengal and north-eastern folk music, music that had inspired him early in life.Dada was disgusted with materialism and the sheer commercial nature of the Mumbai film industry.Volcanic in nature, Dada decided to quit mid"way through Mashaal (1950)and return to Calcutta.Luckily he was persuaded by Dadamoni(Ashok Kumar)to stay on,though Manna Dey completed the assignment and with Burman's"Upar Gagan Vishal"(which established Manna Dey as a singer)from this film,Dada finally arrived.Dada was himself a great singer and has sung many songs in Bengali which were released during the Puja season as well as in Hindi films.Though his singing was limited after he ventured in to composing music full time, his accented voice was used for tunes that required a folk-like rendition.Dada Burman was very choosy in selecting films for scoring music. He never took too many assignments at a time.Likewise,he was very choosy in selecting the singers. It is said that he used to telephone to the singers early in the morning, study their voice indirectly while making conversation and then select.Dada was also very fond of fishing and sports, especially foot ball and tennis.Though he wore only a dhoti and kurta, his creative outlook in music was very modern in the sense that he used to blend Indian classical ragas with Western and make the tune most appealing in melody by his golden touch. He has used the flute very effectively in most of his compositions. His career never flagged till 1974 when he quit signing films from ill health. He is remembered even today, through his great compositions. This great composer attained his heavenly bliss on October 31,1975.

Special Trivia:-
British singer of South Asian heritage,Najma Akhtar, recorded a Shanachie Records CD of Burman's work,"Forbidden Kiss"The Music of S.D. Burman,an album of covers of Burman compositions. The legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar was named after the composer by Sachin's grandfather, who was an ardent fan of Burman.

Naushad was born on 25th December 1919 and raised as a Muslim in Lucknow,a city with a long tradition as a center of Muslim culture. His father,Wahid Ali,was a munshi(court clerk). As a child,Naushad would visit the annual fair at the Deva Sharif in Barabanki,25 km from Lucknow, where all the great qawwals and musicians of those days would perform before the devotees. He studied Hindustani music there under Ustad Ghurbat Ali,Ustad Yusuf Ali,Ustad Babban Saheb, and others. He also repaired harmoniums. As a lad,he joined a junior theatrical club and was appointed the club's music maestro for their theatrical presentations. He used to watch silent films at the Royal theatre in Lucknow.Theatre owners would hire a team of musicians to play the tabla, harmonium, sitar and violin. The musicians would watch the film first, make notes, finalise the scales required. When the show began in the evening, they would sit in front of the screen and play music for the scenes. This was a great way to be entertained and learn music at the same time.It made him grasp the nuances required in composing a film's background music score. In time Naushad formed his own Windsor Music Entertainers or just Windsor Entertainers ,so named because he had seen the word Windsor around Lucknow and liked its ring.It led to the Indian Star Theatrical Company in a theatre at Golagunj colony in Lucknow. He was trained under Laddan Khan until he became capable of working independently as a composer. There he also developed the sense to pick rare musical jewels from the folk tradition of Punjab,Rajasthan, Gujarat and Saurashtra during the company's sojourns in those regions. The traveling players got as far as Viramgam in Gujarat, where they discovered penury, even after selling off theatrical props and musical instruments. The company limped back to Lucknow through the kindness of one of Naushad's friends.Naushad had already become a cinema fan in the silent era,and then,in 1931,Indian cinema got voice and music that further fascinated the 13 year old boy.But his family was strict follower of Islamic diktat of prohibition of music and his father gave him ultimatum to leave music if he wanted to stay at home.He ran away to Bombay (now called Mumbai)in the late 1937 to try his luck as a musician. He was an expert Guru, ustad in all most all form of classical ragahas such as Ahir Bhairav,Alahaiya Bilawal,Bageshri, Bahar,Bhairavi,Bhimpalasi,Bihag,Brindavani Sarang, Darbari Kanada etc.He was held the posts President of Cine Music Directors Association,Chairman of Indian Performing Rights Society,President of Maharashtra State Angling Association,President of Alam-E-Urdu Conference(Delhi),The title of Special Executive Magistrate,Bombay and he was awarded Filmfare Best Music Director Award - Baiju Bawra,Bengal Film Journalists'Association's best music director Award for Gunga Jumna "Naushad Ali",a 30-minute documentary film produced by Television Centre,Bombay,Dada Saheb Phalke Award,Lata Mangeshkar Award(Madhya Pradesh state government's),Amir Khusro Award,Sangeet Natak Akademi Award,Padma Bhushan,Maharashtra Gaurav Puruskar and Best Music for"The Sword of Tipu Sultan".Naushad died on 5 May 2006 in Mumbai and Nawab of Lucknow was buried at the Juhu Muslim cemetery.[source:-Wikipedia]

Classical Rajasthani song Morni Baga Mein acted by Sridevi in Lamhe

Classical Rajasthani song Morni Baga Mein acted by Sridevi in Lamhe . The typical rajasthani dress of Sridevi suits with the voices of Ila Arun and Lata Mangeskar. The movie Lahme was produced and directed by showman Yash Chopra. The story and screen play were written by Honey Irani and Rahi Masoom Raza.Atractive music composed by Shiv-Hari with the lyrics of Anand Bakshi .The acting of Anil Kapoor, Sridevi ,Waheeda Rehman,Anupam Kher and others were better .
However the critics expressed that the movie was inspired from the Anokha Rishta (1986) starring Rajesh Khanna. After all the movie Lamhe was released in 1991 and bags 10+ filmfare awards. Sridevi received a lot of acclaim for her double role even winning the Filmfare Award for Best Actress the film also brought her into International attention which led Hollywood director Steven Spielbergto offer her a role in Jurasssic Park.In this song ,Sridevi has really shows brilliant expression with the costume of Nitu Lolla .

Classical Rajasthani song Morni Baga Mein

The movie Lamhe divided the audience on a class basis. It was hugely popular with metropolitan elites and the overseas market, which allowed it to break even, but it had a poor box-office response with the Indian mass market because of its supposed incest theme. The another famous Parody Sequence by Waheeda Rehman in Aaj Phir Jeene ki Tamanna Hai from her superhit number classic Guide. The film finds a place in the Times Movie Guide's Top 100 Indian films. It is in the Outlookmagazine's list of All-Time Great Indian films. The film had failed to get response in India but out of India , it had done well grossing.

Do Raaste may be the top blockbuster of Rajesh Khanna as Yeh Reshmi Zulfen

1969 was the year that made Rajesh Khanna a superstar in Bollywood. Right after the blockbuster Aradhana, came another blockbuster for Rajesh Khanna and that was Do Raaste. Not only was the movie a super success, the music was a huge hit in those days. Bindiya Chamke Gi was the signature tune for this movie, which became an instant chartbuster song at that time. Definitely, this track is still a classic till this date. The other Hit songs in this album were Yeh Reshmi Zulfen, Mere Baseeb Mein Aaye Dost, Dil Ne Dil Ko Pukara, Apni Apni Biwi and the title track. Do Raaste was among the top selling album in the 1960s, and going by how big the songs were in those days, it comes to no surprise.

Do Raaste may be the top blockbuster of Rajesh Khanna as Yeh Reshmi Zulfen

The Music direction of Laxmikant Pyarelal and Lyrics of Anand Bakshi gave another hit jolt to the movie. Paring with Mumtaz might be another hidden secret of Kaka in Do Raste.

Evergreen Voice Of Kishor Kumar in Ruk Jana Nahi Tu kahin Haar ke From Imtihaan By Binod Khanna & Tanuja

Imtihaan is one of the classic movie in Bollywood ever made on life of a teacher. Imtihaan was directed by Madan Sinha and music composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal using the lyrics of Majrooh Sultaanpuri as Ruk Jaana Nahin,Roz Shaam Aati Thi and Dekho Idhar Bhi Jaan-e-Tamanna are also impressive.

The acting of Binod Khanna and Tanuja are very impressive in Imtihaan. The movie was released in  31st May 1974.The of Evergreen voice Kishor Kumar in  "Ruk Jaana Nahin" is very impressive to all till date.
Story of the movie Imtihaan:-
Madhu Shastri lives a wealthy lifestyle with her widowed dad, who is also the Principal of Adarsh Mahavidyalyal.Madhu Shastri lives a wealthy lifestyle with her widowed dad, who is also the Principal of Adarsh Mahavidyalyal. She is in love with Vijay,a pilot, and both are expected to marry soon.

Unfortunately,Vijay's plane crashes and he passes away. The shock of this news leads to Madhu falling off the stairs, resulting in a permanent damage to her leg. Then one day a new College Professor,Pramod Sharma, enters her life, and both fall in love with each other. He encourages her to follow-up on her hobbies, especially painting, and go out more often,to which she responds positively. Then chaos breaks out into her life again when Pramod is accused by Rita, the daughter of the College Chairman,of sexually molesting her.It looks like Madhu's life is headed for yet another heart-break.
Readers & viewers review:-
Imtihaan (test) is the story of Pramod (Vinod Khanna) who is the son of a rich businessman but leaves his parental house for the sake of his ideals and joins as the lecturer of History in a college. Now the interactions of the idealistic but smart lecturer,Pramod start with the students of various types. While teaching in the college,he falls in love with Madhu (Tanuja)who is the handicapped daughter of the college-principal(Abhi Bhattacharya). However the involvement of a student - Rita (Bindu) with him creates a love-triangle. When Rita comes to know that Pramod loves Madhu, she is burnt like anything with jealousy. And as William Shakespeare has said - hell hath no fury like a woman scorned,Rita tries to settle her score with Pramod, seeking the help of the college-bully Rakesh (I don't know which actor has played this role) who is involved in many other unlawful activities in the college and has dragged many other students also in that quagmire of crime.Rita and Rakesh frame Pramod under the charge of molesting Rita. Now it's a test of life for the idealist Pramod who always teaches his students never to lose hope and stand up with courage before the adversities. How Pramod gets through this toughest test (Imtihaan)of life forms the remaining part of the story.Technically the movie is OK.The length is also perfect since there is no boredom at all.The art-director and the cinematographer have been able to create the collegiate environment on the screen.
