Orey shampanwoala and Indian subcontinental entertainment Industry

Indian subcontinental film industry was started from undivided Bengal .There are two Bengali film industries are found ,now this days. One is based in Kolkata,West Bengal, India or called Tollywood and another one of the many centers Dhaka, Bangladesh or called Dhallywood in the mainstream national film industry of Bangladesh.
Orey shampanwoala and Indian subcontinental entertainment Industry
We are going to give an account of Begali film industry with a tribute to Sefali Ghosh by her all time popular song Orey shampanwoala and Indian subcontinental entertainment Industry.

A tribute to legend Sefali Ghosh by orey shampanwoala :-

Today I am going to recall my childhood when a song was more and more popular from both side of border either in India or Bangladesh. The memory re calls the movie is Monihar which is directed by Mostofa Mehmood and released in 1978.The full story of the movie till waves my mind .Specially the song sung by Late Sefali Ghosh " Orey shampanwoala tui amare korli diwana " .The acting of the two Bengali legend Alamgir and Shabana.Friends I think , you can enjoy the song orey shampanwoala ......It is a folk song originated from Chitagang area of Chattogram in Bangladesh.

History of Bengali movie industry and folk song :-

It was credited as India's first directors to Hiralal Sen of Bengal who created silent feature films. Hiralal Sen advertisement films in India, is credited as one of the pioneers. The first Bengali-language movie was the silent feature Billwamangal which was produced by the Madan Theatre Company of Calcutta and released on 8 November 1919, that was only six years after the first full-length Indian feature film,Raja Harish Chandra.

The contribution of Bengali film industry to Indian film is quite significant from past to till date.In the past, it was a big, even enjoyed disproportionate representation in Indian cinema. On the other hand, the Bengali weekly Dhaka in Dhaka by the Bradford Bioscope Company Crown Prakash movie theater, Patuatuli, reported on April 24, 1898 at near Sadarghat shown that . The show included news items and other short features. Dhaka, Picture House, the first permanent cinema in the name started operation during 1913-1914. The New Picture House cinema was renamed and then named Shabistan.By 1947 there were around 80 cinemas in what is now Bangladesh, the majority of the films made in Bangladesh are strictly commercial in nature, a handful of directors from Bangladesh have attained critical acclaim for their outstanding work. One of the first films produced in Bangladesh after independence wasTitash Ekti Nadir Naam (A River Called Titas) in 1973 by acclaimed director Ritwik Ghatak, whose stature in Bengali cinema is comparable to that of Satyajit Ray and Mrinal Sen.

Conclusion of author :-

There is no bondage of political boundary of country in case of culture and songs .There is a boundary of country but feelings of heart remains same both side of boundary which can easily joint the hearts of each other via culture or song.

The song Dil hoom hoom kare is adapted from 'Bistirno Parore' in Assamese . But that is Dr. Bhupen Hazarika's cover of Paul Robeson's 'Ol'man River' rather than a copy. Paul Robeson was his mentor at Columbia University in the US where Dr. Hazarika did his PhD. He had several times talked about that he was inspired by Pol Robeson. This song is translated in various Indian languages, including Bengali and Hindi (by the artist himself), and is still popular. Being inspired from some other foreign ones.

Tribute to Dr Bhupen Hazarika :-

Dr. Hazarika was born on 8 September 1926 to Nilakanta and Shantipriya Hazarika in Sadiya, Assam. His father was originally from Nazira, a town located in Sivasagar district. The eldest of ten children, Bhupen Hazarika (as also his siblings) was exposed to the musical influence of his mother, who exposed him to lullabies and traditional Music of Assam. His father moved to the Bharalumukh region of Guwahati in 1929,in search of better prospects, where Bhupen Hazarika spent his early childhood. In 1932 his father further moved to Dhubri, and in 1935 to Tezpur. It was in Tezpur that Bhupen Hazarika, then 10 years of age, was discovered by Jyotiprasad Agarwala, the noted Assamese lyricist, playwright and the first Assames Filmmaker and Bishnu Prasad Rabha, renowned Assamese artist and revolutionary poet , where he sang a Borgeet (the traditional Assamese devotional songs written by Srimanta Sankardeva and Sri Sri Madhabdeva), taught by his mother at a public function. In 1936, Bhupen Hazarika accompanied them to Kolkata where he recorded his first song at the Aurora Studio for the Selona Company . His association with the icons of Assamese Culture at Tezpur was the beginning of his artistic growth and credentials. Subsequently, Hazarika sang two songs in Agarwala's film Indramalati (1939): Kaxote Kolosi Loi and Biswo Bijoyi Naujawan at the age of 12. He wrote his first song, Agnijugor Firingoti Moi at the age of 13 and he was well on his way to becoming a lyricist, composer and singer.Dr. Bhupen Hazarika was a lyricist, musician, singer, poet and film-maker and social worker. His songs, written and sung mainly in the Assamese language by himself, are marked by humanity and universal brotherhood and have been translated and sung in many languages, most notably in Bengali and Hindi.[Source: Wikipedia ]

Conclusion :-

Tribute to the legend S.D. Burman:-
S.D.Burman,The son of soil, prince of melody was born October 1,1906 as one of the nine children of Prince Komilla of Tripura. His father Nabadwipchandra Dev Burman, was a sitarist and dhrupad singer as well as his first teacher too.Later his training continued with Ustad Badal Khan and Bhishmadev Chattopadhyay, and this classical training gave him a firm rooting for the music that he was to compose later in life.He had explored the forests of Assam and Tripura from where he gained his formidable knowledge and rich repertoire of the folk of that region and Bengal.Later he became a disciple of Ustad Aftabuddin Khan, becoming an ace flautist,He had started his own music school,"Sur Mandir"in Calcutta in the 1930"s.He rose to be a popular singer there. He joined the illustrious K. C. Dey in the Calcutta. He started his musical career in Bengal as a singer of folk and light classical music and also composed music for the radio, which bore prominent traces of East Bengal and north-eastern folk music, music that had inspired him early in life.Dada was disgusted with materialism and the sheer commercial nature of the Mumbai film industry.Volcanic in nature, Dada decided to quit mid"way through Mashaal (1950)and return to Calcutta.Luckily he was persuaded by Dadamoni(Ashok Kumar)to stay on,though Manna Dey completed the assignment and with Burman's"Upar Gagan Vishal"(which established Manna Dey as a singer)from this film,Dada finally arrived.Dada was himself a great singer and has sung many songs in Bengali which were released during the Puja season as well as in Hindi films.Though his singing was limited after he ventured in to composing music full time, his accented voice was used for tunes that required a folk-like rendition.Dada Burman was very choosy in selecting films for scoring music. He never took too many assignments at a time.Likewise,he was very choosy in selecting the singers. It is said that he used to telephone to the singers early in the morning, study their voice indirectly while making conversation and then select.Dada was also very fond of fishing and sports, especially foot ball and tennis.Though he wore only a dhoti and kurta, his creative outlook in music was very modern in the sense that he used to blend Indian classical ragas with Western and make the tune most appealing in melody by his golden touch. He has used the flute very effectively in most of his compositions. His career never flagged till 1974 when he quit signing films from ill health. He is remembered even today, through his great compositions. This great composer attained his heavenly bliss on October 31,1975.

Special Trivia:-
British singer of South Asian heritage,Najma Akhtar, recorded a Shanachie Records CD of Burman's work,"Forbidden Kiss"The Music of S.D. Burman,an album of covers of Burman compositions. The legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar was named after the composer by Sachin's grandfather, who was an ardent fan of Burman.

Internal and extranal review of Anurodh :-

Director Shakti Samanta said that although the film had an "interesting story", he felt that audiences didn't want to accept the leading man, Rajesh Khanna, doing romantic scenes with his real-life wife Dimple Kapadia's sister Simple Kapadia and this is the reason this film was just a superhit otherwise it would have been a bigger blockbuster. No doubt it is a eye catching romantic family drama movie was made by Shakti Samanta and till date it is new and enjoyable.
